Supercomputers

The JPL Supercomputing and Visualization Facility operates a variety of supercomputers:

Dell Xeon clusters, which are Intel Xeon-based distributed-memory systems, running Linux. More information can be found here:

Engineers and scientists at JPL can get access to these machines at no charge.

Data Storage

The JPL SVF provides users with ample space for storing their datasets, which can often be very large. These include the user's home directory, a temporary work directory and a directory on the nearline backup system. Users may store their data in the system that best meets their needs.
