Heidi Lorenz-Wirzba earned her Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Münster, Germany. She has over eighteen years experience performing technical support and research in high-performance computing at facilities including IBM, Caltech/JPL and NPACI. Heidi has participated in the development, parallelization and porting of numerous scientific and engineering codes, and has tested production versions of several supercomputers and other technologies. She is currently active in benchmarking and performance analysis of application codes and system architectures.

Heidi's interests include scientific visualization, distributed computing, animation, novel computing architectures and Linux.
